Mammoth unit refurbishment and controls upgrade.
Upon customers request, we provided a comprehensive proposal to refurbish major components and upgrade outdated/obsolete controls on existing Mammoth V-Cube WCAC units manufactured mid to late 90s. This provided customer with alternative to unit replacement which would have been invasive work and more costly. In lieu of unit replacement, unit chassis were left in place, evaporator fan assembly overhauled, upgraded VFDs installed, compressors overhauled as needed and controls upgraded with new Automated logic Flex boards that are currently used in modern Mammoth units builds. Additional benefits gained from this control package upgrade was the ability for new controllers to tie in to existing BMS utilizing BACnet protocol. With this, building was able to monitor, troubleshoot and control units remotely.
